Katy and Tom’s snowy engagement photos turned out GORGEOUS! Where do I even begin!? These two cuties reached out to schedule an adventure engagement session with a snowy PNW adventure as the primary goal. Well we got just that and some super pretty pictures to go with it!!
We first planned to head to Diablo Lake but snowmageddon 2019 had other plans for us so we decided to keep the trip short and head to a fav spot near Snoqualmie Pass instead. WELL little did I know that in the winter the access road to the nice paved walkway is closed and MOST people need snowshoes to reach the lake. Note I said MOST people in bold letters….yea, thats because we of course did not have snowshoes and thats where Katy earns her badge of honor!! She only had little leather booties WITH A HEEL but she was still down for the adventure and a little (a lot) of snow did not stop her from trekking through the snow in her finest footwear.
Every step on this walk was an adventure. One moment we were walking along on solid-ish snow and the next step you would find yourself knee deep in the snow. Still no stopping these two!! When we finally made it we had blast laughing at every slip, popping bubbles and creating some gorgeous images!! Scroll through and see what a adventure engagement session really looks like!

Another badge of honor!! Heres a little behind the scenes…snowy outfit changes!! Before the snow began to come down hard!
As we were driving down the mountain the sun of course started to peek out so I texted Katy and Tom and asked if they were down to stop for a few more shots with some warmer light at another gorgeous location!! I think they had just thawed out enough and said YES! We wrapped up our day at rattlesnake lake and got some more gorgeous shots! I really love to go above and beyond to provide my sweet clients with a great product.
