From the Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua to the iconic Pineapple Chapel, Maui has many gorgeous, luxury wedding venues to offer—too many to choose from! How Much Does a Luxury Wedding Venue in Maui Cost?
Wondering how much your luxury wedding venue on Maui might cost? Fortunately for you, I’ve got answers—kinda!
According to Wedding Spot, Maui venue rentals cost, on average, between $5,000-$15,000. You’ll see that the venues I’ve included on this list range from $3,500-$14,500+ for all-day celebrations, so it’s difficult to say what your one-of-a-kind wedding will cost.
These numbers are going to vary hugely from venue to venue, and will depend on factors such as:
- Guest capacity
- Length of event
- Services & amenities included
- Day of the week
- Season (peak vs. off-peak)
- Ceremony & reception sites chosen
- Food & beverage minimums
- Taxes & additional fees
If you’re looking to save a little money on your Maui wedding venue rental, consider having your wedding on a weekday rather than a weekend, or getting married in the off-season (spring or fall). Not only will certain venues offer lower rates during these times; you’ll also encounter fewer crowds, cheaper airfare and accommodations, and more overall availability at restaurants, hotels, on excursions you may want to take, etc.

When is the Best Time to Get Married on Maui?
Maui is known for its beautiful weather a majority of the year, but there are a few key considerations to make when choosing what time of year you’d like to have your luxury Maui wedding.
Obviously, you’ll want to take the weather into account when picking your date—but possibly more important than the temperatures themselves is the precipitation. Wet season on the island lasts from June through November, bringing a lot more rain especially to the windward side of Maui. Because of the heavier rainfall, this is typically the less busy time of year, so you’ll likely encounter fewer crowds, as well as lower accommodation and venue rental prices.
Dry season on Maui is from April-October, with warmer temperatures drawing larger crowds of visitors. This is a gorgeous time of year to tie the knot on Maui, what with the abundance of sunshine, clear skies, and incredible sunsets, but you will definitely be competing with more couples for wedding venues & dates, as well as most likely paying higher rental rates.
If you’d like to avoid crowds as much as possible but still have mild, pleasant weather, you might want to opt for a wedding in the shoulder season—either late spring (April-May) or fall (September-October). Crowds thin out a bit during these months, and you’ll have a wider selection when it comes to accommodations, venues, and excursions with the more sparse tourist groups.
Each season really does have its own pros and cons, so it’s up to you to figure out what works best for the unique day you’re envisioning.

How to Choose Your Perfect Maui Wedding Venue
WIth such a wide variety of amazing venues on the island, how do you choose the right one for your luxury wedding day? It can be tough to narrow down your favorites—so to make it a little bit easier, I’ve created a list of the most important factors you’ll want to consider while searching for the perfect luxury Maui wedding venue.
Guest capacity
Before you spend any more time looking at a specific wedding venue, you’ll first want to make sure it actually has enough space to host you and your guests! The last thing you want is to fall head-over-heels in love with a venue, only to find out that it doesn’t even have space for half of your guest list. The venues I’ve included in this guide all offer a wide range of ceremony and reception sites to fit various group sizes, some with a maximum of 150 people, others with the space to accommodate a whopping 2,000+. It totally depends on the venue and how it’s laid out, as well as what sites it has available.
Ceremony and reception sites
Speaking of ceremony and reception sites, I always love a venue that offers multiple for couples to choose from! One of the first things you look at when considering a venue should be the space(s) it offers for every part of your day, not just the ceremony and reception but also your time getting ready in the morning, cocktail hour/mingling, etc. Is there plenty of space for your guests to explore throughout the evening, and take advantage of the beautiful views? Are there hidden nooks and crannies that you can seek out during golden hour for one-of-a-kind couples portraits? Is the reception site spacious enough to put up a tent in case of rain?
A few logistics you’ll want to think about as far as ceremony and reception venues go, specifically. . .
- Floor plan and how furniture/equipment/rentals will fit
- Flexibility to customize the layout to fit your vision
- Guest capacity (seated and standing)
- Dinner layout (buffet vs. plated sit-down, round vs. long tables, etc.)
- Lighting and audio
- Accessibility (for you, your guests, your vendors, etc.)
- Ease of setup and breakdown
Planning and day-of support
If you’re hosting a luxury wedding, chances are that having support from professionals is of high priority to you—and something you value above many other parts of your big day. This is why it’s super important to look into the level of support a venue offers before putting down your deposit, and ensuring that you feel like you’re in great hands throughout the entire planning process! Many luxury venues offer high-touch support from planning and coordination experts as well as in-house caterers, designers, stylists, etc.
Take the Ritz-Carlton Maui, for example: they provide you with a cultural advisor for Hawaiian ceremonies, an on-site culinary team, an on-site event manager, and a Marriott Certified Wedding Planner who specializes in destination weddings. Having the right team of professionals by your side is a crucial part of achieving a gorgeous luxury wedding, so be sure to look into that carefully as you browse a venue’s packages and services!
On-site amenities and experiences
Next, I recommend paying attention to what amenities and experiences the venue might offer on-site. Certain resorts on the island, for example, offer memorable pre and post-wedding activities such as lavish spa & salon services, golf excursions, farewell brunches, and more. Booking a venue that provides activities like these for you and your guests to enjoy is the easiest way to make the absolute most out of your time on beautiful Maui!
Accommodations
If ease and effortlessness are what you’re going for with your luxury wedding, then you’ll definitely want to book a venue that offers on-site accommodations. Not only will this make your job easier, as you won’t have to spend time and money finding a separate hotel or Airbnb to book—it also means you’ll have so much more quality time to be with your loved ones. Without having to say goodbye at the end of the night to drive to your separate accommodations, you’ll simply get to hang out later into the night and walk to your rooms when you’re ready to hit the hay! Plus, you’ll save money on transportation, as you won’t have to move locations throughout the day. Many of Maui’s beach resorts offer luxurious rooms for your guests to stay in, as well as romantic honeymoon suites for the two of you.
All-inclusive packages
Finally, all-inclusive packages are definitely the way to go for luxury wedding venues on Maui. These are higher-ticket packages, but in exchange for the higher cost, they include significantly more amenities, services, and items—essentially, everything you’ll need to tie the knot at a venue. What’s included will depend on the venue, but oftentimes all-inclusive packages might include an officiant, a cake, catering, the maximum available hours of venue use, planning/coordination support, and more. Trust me, it is SO worth spending the extra money to have so much of your day planned and executed for you—the weight off your shoulders will be immense!

You won’t have to worry about avoiding crowds of tourists as you watch a breathtaking sunset, admire the dramatic lava rocks, or dance under the moonlit, starry skies of Maui—it’s intimate, it’s welcoming, and it feels like a home away from home.

Oh do I just adore Olowalu! It’s pretty dang hard to beat the location of this venue in the gorgeous region of West Maui, set on nearly 3 acres of stunning oceanside estate along Honoapiilani Highway. Designed back in 1922 in a traditional Hawaiian plantation style, you’ll notice that this home has maintained its historic charm while also embracing more modern amenities to make celebrations totally effortless. 5. Pineapple Chapel
Guest Capacity: 500
Indoor/outdoor: Both
If this area looks/sounds familiar to you, it’s because this venue is actually just down the street from the Ritz-Carlton, in Kapalua. The Pineapple Chapel is an iconic venue for luxury Maui weddings, with an ideal location in West Maui and totally incredible views of the Pacific Ocean from all angles. I love this venue because it offers a slightly different setting than the other venues on this list, with a historic chapel available for both ceremonies and receptions. It’s a super beautiful, minimalist venue with a ton of natural light, spacious interiors, and warm wooden floors, bringing that welcoming tropical vibe indoors. The simple layout and aesthetic of the chapel means that you can decorate with pretty much any colors/styles and it’ll look beautiful!
In addition to the chapel, you’ll also have access to multiple outdoor spaces that offer expansive lawns & amazing ocean views. Whether you opt for the Mau’u Terrace or the Makai Lawn, you absolutely cannot go wrong at this whimsical, thoughtfully-designed venue. Plus, it’s just an easy five-minute walk to the beach from the Pineapple Chapel—perfect for dreamy golden hour portraits in front of the epic cliffs of Kapalua, or even an intimate ceremony with under 20 guests.
The rental fee for weddings at the Pineapple Chapel ranges from $3,500-$5,000 depending on the size of your group, or you can opt for a shorter ceremony-only package for $1,500.

6. Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center
Guest Capacity: 250
Indoor/outdoor: Both
The Hui No’eau is a bit of an untraditional wedding venue, as it’s actually a non-profit visual arts center that just so happens to be, well, breathtaking. Focused on community-based education and preservation of the historic Kaluanui Estate, it’s actually one of the only historic estates on Maui that is open to the public, and that can be rented out for private events. What a cool thing to get married at a place that also holds so much significance to the history of the region, as well as the current community of West Maui.
Designed in 1927, this unique Mediterranean-style plantation manor is set on 25 spacious acres of upcountry estate, with an incredible backdrop of Haleakala and views of the West Maui Mountains as well as the North Shore. A panoramic lawn, solarium, reflection pond, and outdoor courtyard make up a stunning selection of versatile wedding venues to choose from, all of which can be easily customized to fit your one-of-a-kind vision. I personally love the expansive lawn, the quaint reflection pond, and the solarium that boasts gorgeous architecture & an enchanting glass window enclosure!
Renting the Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center for your Maui wedding will cost between $1,660-$5,220 for a ceremony and reception, according to Wedding Spot, and you’ll get 14 hours of event time.
