What is a first look? First looks have become a regular addition to the wedding day timeline. A first look is usually scheduled just after getting ready and is a private moment when couple see’s each other for the first time on their wedding day. I often chat with couples during the planning process who are on the fence about the idea. Here at MBP I meet you where you are and happily photograph your day the way you want it but I wanted to share some benefits of planning the day with a first look.
1. You just finished getting ready and your hair and makeup are ON POINT. Your dress is clean and looking perfect and you grooms are looking sharp! Of course you will be gorgeous all day but by doing first look and portraits early on you know you are getting the best of the best from your look.
2. The moment is very intimate, emotional and actually really fun! You will get some much needed time together before the all the hustle and bustle. No one (but me and maybe your videographer) are present during so you and your babe can share some private cuddles, share a laugh and take in the magic without all the eyes on you.
Bonus: You also get to spend most of the day together! Generally ceremonies are starting later in the day and when you wait to do a traditional aisle look you miss out on hanging out with your favorite person all day.
3. More time for photos! Scheduling a first look and all the portraits before the ceremony allows us to have more opportunities to capture you together thought the day. That means more creative shots and more authentic candids of you enjoying your cocktail hour and reception.

Get right to your party after the ceremony! We did the first look and scheduled all the family portraits and bridal party photos before the ceremony so now all you need to do is go have a blast!!
